Mark is the founder of Privatal. He began his career as a Finance Analyst at Jaguar Land Rover, training towards his CIMA qualification, before spending close to three years at a leading UK private equity search firm focused on interim portfolio management. He later completed a Master’s in Entrepreneurship at University College London.

Privatal was built to bring greater specialisation, rigour, and pace to private equity portfolio recruitment in the DACH region. The firm operates with a clear focus on senior finance, transformation, and value creation roles, working closely with investors and management teams across the full deal lifecycle.

Today, Mark leads Privatal’s pan-European platform, overseeing searches that support value creation at portfolio level and long-term outcomes for private equity-backed businesses.
